Adult Education
Adult Education students are expected to follow the Modesto City Schools Student Conduct Code. Any misconduct will result in removal from adult education with 0 credits. Students may petition to be reinstated after one semester.
How to Register
Students enrolling for classes may do so by calling the Pearson Education Center, (209) 574-8192 #3. Students must be 18 or older to attend adult classes. Adults shall have first priority for enrollment in any adult education class, provided they enroll during the regular enrollment period. (Education code 52523/AR 6200). Please supply a copy of your transcript from high school or last school of attendance when enrolling as a new student.
Location
Classes are held at Pearson Education Center, 500 Locust St, Monday through Friday, currently through distance learning. Please call for more information.
Counseling Services
Counseling services are available to all persons working towards a high school diploma through Adult Education. Adults receive priority registration in all classes. An Adult Education counselor is available by appointment only. Call the Adult Education office to schedule an appointment. Students need to bring transcripts from all previous schools attended.
Fees
There are no tuition charges for high school diploma or English as a Second Language classes.
Attendance
Adults who receive 5 credits for a course must be present 80% of the time.
Work Experience & Military Service Credits
Up to 40 elective credits may be earned in work achievement/on the job training or having served in the United States Military.
